My friend Sharon suggested I do a throwback Thursday post on my blog. Bringing it back to what things in London I’ve been up to in the past while. She said
Our work summer party fell on the hottest day of the year for once. That made for good bbqs, beers, and selfies in the sun.
My lovely friend Chelsey from Vancouver came to visit for the weekend and we used it as an excuse to visit my favourite brunch place The Blue Legume for their amazing pancakes.
After Chelsey left, Alex and I headed to the Tour de France Fan Park in Green Park. As a TdF Fan Park Ambassador I got to go and check out what they were up to in the VIP area and all around the park. I loved the Canary Park Fan Park last year and was excited to watch the last stage in Yorkshire from Green Park.
My favourite part was winning the TdF on a Boris Bike built for 2. Need proof?
The next day we escaped our office and put on our caps to go watch le Tour race past. There was a crash right before we were standing so the peleton was a bit spaced out.
And finally, my week was rounded out at the Royal Society having a few drinks and a lot more canapés in the name of research for new event spaces in Central London. It’s a tough job but someone has to drink it.
