I live in London with my wonderful husband and spend most of this blog writing about the fun things I do and see.
I miss the Canadian mountains, but crave the city life. I like running and love eating. Trying to maintain some sort of balance while living in London.
Please read my rules & standards for brand partnerships on this blog. Please note that if you are a company or organisation that makes a profit I will not write for you for free (or “exposure” as all the PRs seem to call it these days).
I also really love pies.

Such a lovely blog 🙂
Hello, i have seen in the blog you love trail running. Me too!! I use to train on my own across some parks and roads trough west north london. If any long ride coming I will be very happy to join with you and yours mates! Thanks a lot!
Hi Laura,
I just wanted to say how much I like your site. I started reading your blog when I searched for a review of the London Duathlon when I was having a panic about being in over my head last summer and your race report made me feel so much better. Keep up the good work! As a ‘lower intermediate’ runner and cyclist I find your posts quite inspiring 🙂
I was wondering if you might be able to help me with a couple of queries. Firstly, where did you get your race belt alternative (rucksack straps with bag on front..?) you are wearing in a few of your pics? I struggle knowing how to carry stuff comfortably on runs and it looks ideal!
Secondly, I’ve been thinking of getting a GPS sports watch for a while, but am somewhat overwhelmed by all the choices currently out there. Can you recommend a reasonably priced one that ideally could be used for running, walking and cycling with a decent battery life and good GPS connection?
Thanks!
Helen
Hi Laura
I’m looking at doing the Downslink ultra this year but I cant find any booking information, do you remember when they started to book the event and if so where to book from?
Thanks
Oli
Hi Oli, a quick google of Downslink ultra lead me right to the info about the race and when 2016 entries will open. Should work for you too.
