Wasn’t actually a dream, but I keep pinching myself to make sure.
I was invited to spend the day with Nike UK on a special mission to #makeitcount. You’ve probably seen my previous blog posts/tweets about engaging with Nike on their social media campaign to get everyone to set some serious 2013 goals and make every moment count. Well, as someone who has promised to make 2013 count they set me up with enough Nike gear to last a lot of training runs (even with my roll-in-the-dirt training style) and organised a track training session at Crystal Palace with Team GB sprinter Adam Gemili. I learned it takes a lot of strength and technique to become a serious sprinter. We ran through drills for about an hour and boy am I feeling it today.
I also got to design my own running shoe at the London Niketown NikeID studio. I’ve ran in the LunarGlide+ 4’s before so decided to make them more neon.
There will be more to come about the details of the day, the training tips I received, and some photos – watch this space.
I love that you managed to make shoes “more neon” haha! What a fab day – can’t wait to hear more!
