Last week I saw a tweet from @lazygirlrunning about a new social enterprise project aiming to inspire homeless women to find their feet through running. A Mile in her Shoes is just starting up but I think it’s a long overdue initiative and applaud Nicola for starting it.
The pilot project is accepting unwanted race t-shirts and shoes to redistribute to homeless women. I personally have many pairs of trainers sitting unused in my closet and am happy to see them go to willing feet. Please, have a look through your closets and think about helping out this project any way you can. Hoarding is not cool!
3 of the pairs above, and 4 race shirts are destine for the project. Happy miles!
Great project! I’m gonna look into that and donate too!
Also, how did you include your tweet like that?! Looooooove it!
Awesome! I used the html editor on wordpress to embed the tweet (you can grab your embedded tweet link from the individual tweet on twitter). Not sure if/how it works on blogspot but good luck! π
What a great project!! I’ve got major trainer envy of all of your pretty trainers though!! π
What a great idea. I have plenty of running shirts I never wear. I love the animation of your shoes – what a really cool idea. How long did it take you?
Hi Peter, it’s just a vine so took under a minute, just film then move and film again. It loops itself!
