I believe running is an individual pursuit. You set goals, you do the training and you reach the reward. I enjoy bringing a team training aspect to my running with boot camps and run groups, but in the end it’s you and your shoes when it comes to a marathon. The New York Marathon was not the event the city/state needed to rebuild hope and infuse tourism dollars to the recovery effort and I think the right (albeit late) decision was made.
Be grateful you put one foot in front of another day after day and run another race.
