Alex and I got tickets to the BBC Radio 1 Weekend, this year held in Hackney and as one of the big events leading up to the London 2012 Olympics.  We got the whole festival experience: Dance tents, DJ booths, new emerging artists stage, mud, fried foods and sunshine – all 20 minutes on the Overground from our flat.  Couldn’t ask for much more.
